KPop Demon Hunters Is Still #1 on Netflix Because Apparently We All Needed Demon-Slaying Idols in Our Lives

Somehow, against all reason and probably several laws of nature, KPop Demon Hunters is the most-watched show on Netflix for the fifth week in a row. That’s five weeks of high-kick exorcisms, supernatural angst, and girl group outfits that could ward off evil on their own. As reported on CinemaBlend, it just broke a streaming record, and people are still watching like it's episode one and they haven’t memorized every demon's tragic backstory already.
Even Netflix sounded slightly dazed when they posted:
It’s not that we’re surprised, exactly. It’s just. how do you explain a show where ancient evil is sealed with a dance break, and it actually works? Somehow the writers pulled off the impossible: made K-pop and demon hunting feel like a natural pairing. The chemistry? Electric. The lore? Unhinged. The fan theories? Already spiraling into conspiracy territory.
And yet, here we are, with no sequel announcement, no spinoff, not even a cursed plush toy drop. If Netflix doesn’t greenlight KPop Demon Hunters 2: Seoul Train to Hell, we might just summon a minor demon ourselves and see what happens.
In the meantime, congrats to the only show bold enough to put a demon-slaying staff in the hands of a girl wearing holographic boots. You’ve earned your crown.
