The Committee of 100 is hosting an online event in October that you won't want to miss. Titled “Asian American Career Ceilings: Obstacles and Opportunities in Media and Entertainment,” this webinar will bring together several influential industry voices to tackle the issue of the “bamboo ceiling.” Why are Asian Americans, despite their strong presence at entry and mid-level roles, still underrepresented in leadership positions across media and entertainment?

The panel features an impressive lineup: Albert Cheng, Vice President and Head of Prime Video; Nicole Dungca, a reporter at The Washington Post and President of the Asian American Journalists Association; and Richard Lui, a renowned NBC/MSNBC News Anchor. The discussion will be moderated by Peter Young, CEO and President of Young & Partners. Each panelist will share their personal stories and professional insights, exploring both the root causes of the problem and potential solutions.

This isn't just a talk. It's an opportunity to be part of the solution. After the main discussion there will be a Q&A session followed by a virtual networking event where you can connect with others passionate about this issue.

The Committee of 100 is a leading non-profit organization made up of prominent Chinese Americans. Since its founding in 1989, it has worked to promote full participation for Chinese Americans in society and to strengthen U.S.-China relations.

The webinar will be on October 1, at 2:00 PM PDT and is completely free. Be sure to register to save your spot. You can get your ticket here.
